Marc's Tough Mudder Trial

Tough Mudder · 17 November 2012 to 18 November 2012 ·
Hello. I am Marc.
In November I am doing Tough Mudder in aid of Claire House, a fantastic charity based up here in the North West that enhances the quality of life for children and young people with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Please help me support them. Your donation could be the one that spurs me on that extra mile. I need all the support I can get to raise money for them because what they do is genuinely fantastic and I want to ensure they can continue the great work they do long into the future.
So there are two questions I hear you ask.
1. What makes your run so special?
It’s called Tough Mudder and I signed a death warrant. I may die and it isn’t their fault. Even though it is. It’s a 12 mile cross country assault course designed by the special forces where I’ll be swimming, climbing, jumping, diving, running (sometimes through fire) and electrocuted. It is effectively the worst orienteering session in the world. Here, take a look at http://toughmudder.co.uk/
2. Marc, aren’t you a bit on the hefty side for this?
Yes I am. I wanted to do something to finally get myself fit and the motivation that someone will benefit from my efforts keeps me going. I’ve lost a stone up to now…which is nice. I couldn’t run a mile and now I’m up to 5. If you’re fit that doesn’t sound like a lot, but it was impossible for me a month ago and I’m working at it all the time.
If you have a few minutes, please take a look at www.claire-house.org.uk and you’ll understand why I am doing this.
Thanks for reading
