A very big thank you to all who have donated so generously. I know for a fact that it was because of your generosity I was able to make it to the top. We still need more donations to hit the team target, so please consider donating on my page or indeed any of the team members pages to help us toward the goal of enabling the QAHH to purchase the electronic walking frame that would benefit Stuart and all the residents. Thank you.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March 2009, a very good friend of mine, Stuart Langley, suffered a cycling accident which left him very badly injured. Two years on, Stuart is now a resident of the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home in Worthing, which provides long-term highly specialist nursing care.
The QAHH is currently seeking to secure funding for an Electronic Vision Standing Frame which will enable residents who cannot stand by themselves to stand upright with resultant benefits including improved bone strength, muscle tone, circulation and kidney function and strengthening of chest muscles.
I wanted to contribute to raising some money for the Standing Frame which will directly benefit Stuart, so, as part of a team, I aim to climb Mount Jebel Toubkal in Morocco with my girlfriend, Serena. At 4,167 metres (13,671 ft) high, the Mountain of Jebel Toubkal is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in turn North Africa. Our intention is to scale it in October 2011.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
