I'm raising funds for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association so that they keep on doing their vital work which supports those who are blind or partially sighted. For someone who is blind, having a Guide Dog helps them to keep their independence and offers them safety, as well as providing them with company throughout the year. I have worked with this charity in my role at Specsavers for a number of years and seen first-hand the great work that they do. It costs thousands of pounds to breed, train and look after a Guide Dog for life and so I am looking to raise any funds I can to help them.
As most of you will know I am no runner and I am not too keen on exercise! Whilst supporting this amazing charity, I also hope to lose those few extra pounds that have been slowly creeping onto my waistline and not to mention man boobs!
I hope you will dig deep and help this worthwhile cause.
