BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Ukraine Bike Challenge JustGiving page. 

In 2013 we managed to raise € 27,000 of donations with our Balkan Bike Challenge. Every Euro went to SOS Children’s Villages family projects in Bulgaria supporting over 300 children with healthcare, education and psychological help for at least 12 months.

We went back in 2014 to reunite with some of the people we met during the Balkan Bike Challenge and after having seen how much this had actually meant for the children and their parents was such a great reward for us that we simply could not see this as a one-off campaign
anymore. Now, 3 years later, with the Ukraine Bike Challenge we want to continue helping children in need with financial support so they can have that loving home they truly deserve.

UKRAINE BIKE CHALLENGE 

This time we want to raise funds to help children in the Ukraine. Did you know that 1.2 Million children have been affected by the local war? The Ukraine Bike Challenge is working in close collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages (http://sos-ukraine.org/en) and is aimed at supporting a specific program to help 600 of these hurt children in this conflict area by giving them access to medical supplies, fresh water and sanitation, educational supplies, food and professional social workers.

We will start our journey in September 2016 in Rotterdam and head to the Ukraine crossing multiple borders. Over a period of two weeks we will travel approximately 400 km per day on average, visit SOS Children’s Villages across Europe and experience again the great work that the employees, volunteers and surrogate mothers are doing.
