Scotland’s death rate for homelessness has been announced as the worst in Britain by quite some way. Numbers have risen by over 10% to a total of 200 deaths in our very own streets. In a year of cold, wet weather, the Government’s ‘Stay At Home’ rule has affected us all but people who find themselves without a home find it harder than ever to stay warm and off the streets.

Glasgow City Mission are a charity at the heart of Glasgow who provided aid to people struggling with homelessness in various ways. They values and ethos stem from their Christian roots as they look to show love and support to people in the community. Your kind donation will provide support to their services which give emergency accommodation, aid their city centre project and the children and family centre in Govan. They not only give much needed practical support like a roof over people’s head and food but also give people the foundations to build their confidence and relationships. 

We, Calum and Kieren, aim to do something as a way of galvanising some support for this great cause. We will complete a marathon (walking!) as an event on the 7th April. We will walk the streets of Glasgow for 26.2 miles to raise awareness and support for Glasgow City Mission.
