Story
Running the 2012 London Marathon was supposed to be a one off
run, and after such an exhaustive & painful experience, I told myself
I'd never run again. But after my father was killed in a car accident in 2013, I put on my running shoes again and was compelled to dedicate every mile and every step towards goodness, in his memory. I've since completed 21 half marathons, and have ran the London Marathon 3 times, raising thousands of pounds for great causes.
In April 2017, God willing, I will run 4 Marathons in 3 weeks, hoping to raise £20,000 to build a Solar Water & Power Centre in Africa, in memory of my father. Project info: http://www.pennyappeal.org/solar-centre.html . 4000 children die daily due to drinking dirty diseased water, and I really hope to make a difference, with your help.
2 April - Manchester Marathon: 26.2 miles
9 April - Paris Marathon: 26.2 miles
17 April - Boston Marathon: 26.2 miles
23 April - London Marathon: 26.2 miles
It takes 4 months to train for a marathon so I have a very busy winter ahead of me. Running 4 Marathons on consecutive weekends, and in the space of 21 days, is going to be extremely exhausting, and will require huge effort, but I know I can do it with your help.
Those of you who knew my father will remember the great man he
was; always striving for the better of others. He is my motivation, and I am very determined to make this challenge a success to make him proud. I hope you can help me reach my target of £20,000 and honour his soul through this water project, which will be bringing safe clean water to poor and needy communities in Senegal. Let's challenge water poverty together!
Please donate however much or little you can by clicking on the donation link. If I can find 200 people to give just £100, that would be more than enough to complete the project. Alternatively, you could sponsor me £1 or £2 for every mile that I will race (105). Maybe even make a pledge? - You could help me raise £500 or £1000 at your school, workplace, or university? Please get in touch. I'd love to hear from you.
You can also give by texting "MOTA60 £" to 70070.
