Story
Hi everyone,
After watching the London Marathon on TV last year I decided (somewhat naively I'll admit) that I wanted to run it. I've never been particularly athletic or sporty as many people I know can vouch for and I felt like it was time I got fitter and challenged myself on a physical level.
Now here I am. I've been training since april and have managed to reach 13.4 miles without dying at the end. This is a far cry from 26.2 miles but it's considerably better than where I was on my first ever training run (1.4 miles and collapsing at the end).
With just over 4 months to go and feeling all the better for it, I now ask all of you who know me if you would kindly donate some money to the charity that I am doing this for. Every penny counts so please give as much or as little as you would like to. It's for a very worthy cause, and if nothing else, you can sit there on race day watching me cross the finish line (hopefully) knowing that you helped make that possible.
All of your support is greatly appreciated 'cos I know I'm going to need it!
Mike
