In October, I'm running a half marathon in Bucharest for the organisation I work for - Hospice Angelus. Yes, that's right - me, running, 13 miles. But that's not the important part - here's what is: based in Moldova, Europe's poorest nation, I've been working here since October 2010 raising awareness and funds for the work that we do here. In Moldova, Hospice care is not as readily available as it is in the UK or elsewhere in the west and we are doing everything that we can to ensure that we are able to provide FREE care to the patients who need it. 

In Moldova, those who are diagnosed with terminal cancer are sent home to die with little or no pain relief and we at Hospice Angelus are raising money to keep our services free and more available to the 6000 people who die in Moldova of cancer every year.
