Story
I will be running in memory of our lovely Dad, Michael Joshua ("Josh" to many). In November 2017 he passed away, aged 54, after being diagnosed with Scleroderma. This is the thickening of the skin mainly affecting blood circulation, which then progressed to Diffuse systemic sclerosis - putting pressure on his main organs, causing breathlessness and increased heart rate, also harming the oesophagus, kidneys and digestive system.
I chose to support Scleroderma & Raynaud's UK (SRUK) as it is the only UK Charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with Scleroderma and Raynaud's. My Dad would think I'm partly mad for running the marathon, but mostly he would be proud - I will be thinking of him every (literal) step of the way!!!
Any donations will be much appreciated and any support on the day will be even more appreciated!
Thank you,
Millie x
