Story
During the summer of 2014, my dear old friend Chris Isaac lost a sudden and short battle with duodenal cancer.
Chris was just 36, a devoted family man who doted on his wife and two daughters, and was simply one of the most exceptional, most lovely people I'll ever know. Also an amazing musician and career driven at Universal Music, Chris was prevalent in so many people's lives and still is. His passing leaves behind an unattainable void and a vast array of family and friends who loved him dearly and miss him so, so much.
So many amazing memories, we think about him every day.
In a bid for some small piece of good to come from all this I decided last year to run the 2015 Brighton Marathon in his memory and try to raise a little money for Cancer Research UK to help them continue his fight. I'm not a natural runner, the furthest I've ever run is the length of a pub at last orders, so this is some challenge. I'm quite sure Chris would find it an absurd idea and I suppose that's the point. Nevertheless training is going well, the marathon takes place on 12th April this year.
Duodenal cancer is an extremely rare form and occurs in the small bowel. So, by special arrangement with Cancer Research UK, all funds raised will be directed into their small bowel research department.
Thank you so much for your support,
Adam
