All money donated in this campaign will go directly to Medical Aid for Palestinians(MAP) as travel costs etc will be covered personally.
MAP's vision is a future where all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable and locally-led system of healthcare and the full realisation of their rights to health and dignity.
MAP's work brings hope to the hopeless.
Does supporting MAP mean going against Israel?
No. MAP is entirely non political and simply provides medical aid to those effected by the conflict.
Why is it especially important right now?
Since 2018, UNWRA, the United Nations body responsible for administering aid to its 5.2 million Palestinian refugees, has seen a 30% cut to its budget due to the withdrawal of US support. MAP's work covers the roughly 2.5 million of these refugees who live in the occupied Palestinian Territories in the West Bank & Gaza as well as in Lebanon and is even more critical now in 2020, the year in which Gaza is projected to become uninhabitable with over 53% unemployment and almost half the population living on less than $5.50 per day. Your support will help to bring urgent treatments - from primary care, women's neo-natal health programmes and limb reconstruction to basic medicines and medical supplies - to the many Palestinians whose health, without your support, would in many cases be irretrievably damaged.
