Story
Suicide is the main cause of death in young people under the age of 35 in the UK. On average, over five young people take their lives each day. Over 200 school children are lost to suicide each year, but research shows that with appropriate early intervention and support, suicide by young people can be prevented. - Papyrus
In aid of this, we’re teaming up with Papyrus; a UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide that envisions a society which speaks openly about suicide, and also has the resources to help young adults with suicidal thoughts, in the hope of raising awareness.
This National Walking Day, we’ll be sending six of our boohooMAN ambassadors to participate in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. They will be put through their paces, walking 24 miles over a 12hr period to promote positive mental health and well being in young adolescents.
You can keep up to date with the MAN x Yorkshire Three Peak challenge through our social channels: @boohoomanofficial and @boohoomanactive
We believe that suicide is preventable, and we hope that you will join us on this journey.
Please know that you are never alone, help is always available.
