12th October: UpdateI MADE IT!

Ran all the way and didnt have to revert to walking or wait for the pick-up bus.
The route along the Thames and through the parks was lovely and the weather was grand. Partly it was a struggle and partly it seemed easy but overall the run was very enjoyable. Happy with my running time as well.
Thanks again to all of you who sponsored me. Keeping your generosity and the run's purpose in mind, kept me going!
Will send you some pictures in the next days if I can get my hands on some.
Cheers
Manu (who is looking forward to her bed tonight)

Dear Friends
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
This time my fundraising challenge is a little harder but its purpose is particularly important and means a lot to me:
I want to run the
Royal Parks London Half Marathon on 12th October to raise money to help the Tibetan people.
As you know Tibet was invaded by the Chinese over 50 years ago. Chinese occupation has resulted in the death of over one million Tibetans, the destruction of over 6,000 monasteries, nunneries and temples, and the imprisonment and torture of thousands of Tibetans. This destruction and oppression is ongoing - I saw it with my own eyes.
For more info on Tibet have a look at: www.freetibet.org/about/10-facts-about-tibet.
I would like to ask you to sponsor me on my Half-Marathon by giving money to Free Tibet or Tibet Watch: Free Tibet
Free Tibet campaigns for an end to the Chinese occupation of Tibet and for the fundamental human rights of Tibetans to be respected. Free Tibet stands for the right of Tibetans to determine their own future.
If you decide to sponsor me by giving money to Free Tibet, please send a cheque made payable to the "Free Tibet Campaign" to my personal address. (Free Tibet is classified as a political campaign and therefore can't be donated to via this page.) So simply send me a text message and I will let you know what my address is. Thanks!
Tibet WatchIf you like to sponsor me by giving money to Tibet Watch (description on the left) just use this webpage: Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and secure. Tibet Watch gets your money directly and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving adds 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement to your donation.
I will let you know how I did on the Half-Marathon, if I made it to the finishing line (somehow) or collapsed after half an hour... : )
So please dig deep and give as much as you can - for Tibet. Every penny counts! Thanks so much!!
Manu
