London to Amsterdam Football League Challenge · 6 June 2014 to 8 June 2014 ·

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

Six representatives of Mansfield Town, including chairman John Radford, are set to cycle from London to Amsterdam to raise funds for prostate cancer this June.

Setting out from Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium on Friday 06 June, chairman John Radford will be joined by players Ben Hutchinson and Ian Deakin, head of media & communications Mark Stevenson, scoreboard operator Stuart Eggleshaw and club mascot Doug Carroll (better known as Sammy the Stag) for the 70 miles to Harwich.

The group will then catch the overnight ferry to the Netherlands before completing the journey with a 60 mile ride to the Amsterdam Arena, home of four-time European Cup winners AFC Ajax, before returning home the following day.
