Story
* Due to the Birmingham Marathon being cancelled, I will be running the #GreatBirminghamRun on 14 October which will be a half-marathon.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After running 1,000 miles in 2017, this year I will be running two marathons (Manchester and Liverpool) and a half-marathon on 14 October 2018 (Birmingham) for The Albion Foundation. I will also be doing an Indoor Triathlon in the Summer (Date to be confirmed).
I have a huge amount of respect for the work The Albion Foundation carry out year in year out and seeing how they make a difference in the local community.
One of the aims of The Albion Foundation is to engage with a variety of young people; improving achievement, changing behaviour, increasing attendance at school, raising self-esteem and boosting confidence. Having had early learning difficulties myself and received extra educational support, I can relate to the work the Foundation carry out to help make a difference to improve the lives of young people in the local community.
By running three marathons and doing an indoor triathlon, I want to inspire local communities to never give up. Anything is possible in life if you believe in yourself and you work hard. No one should ever be afraid of following their dreams.
The work the Foundation do worldwide as well is nothing but inspirational. The Foundation aims to positively impact not only the development of young people overseas in terms of football techniques and game understanding, but also give them opportunities to learn, play and feel empowered.
And because of this, I want to raise money for the charity to change lives worldwide and help those who are less fortunate than myself.
Plus the fact I have been a Baggies fan all my life, this is another reason why I want to fundraise for The Albion Foundation this year.
