Story
Running to help children, running for me.
Upon turning 50 last year I thought about what I would gift myself to mark the occasion. To my surprise, the experience of running the London Marathon was what came to mind, so I set out to get myself a place; no easy task for someone who has never run that distance
before and is to be honest, daunted yet excited about the prospect.
I have been surprised by all I didn’t, and still don't know about what it takes to run this distance. I have started training and shall be running for two causes. Both relate to helping children. One is the
NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) in the UK and the other is a family vehicle we have which supports four schools in Delhi, India (JSPS – Jain Shiksha Pracharak Society).
I appreciate that there are many worthy causes out there and many events people raise money for so please do not feel compelled to donate. If either or both causes strike a chord with you then I would
be most grateful for any support you feel able to offer. The links to donate are posted below. If this resonates with you, please do give the post a like so that people in your network also see it. It will help us to raise awareness of the importance of helping children as much as offering the chance to raise more funds.
