Story
The silent auction launched the week of World Down Syndrome day so it's really exciting to share a charity who helps improve the lives of children who have Down Syndrome as one of our chosen charities.
DownRight Excellent (DeX) have a team of experienced speech and language and occupational therapists who work with the children on activities that will help develop their skills, ultimately allowing them to exceed expectations and live happier and more fulfilled lives. These services are not often provided by the NHS, making the work that DeX does all the more valuable.
Millie has attended DeX since she was around 5 months old, they pivoted their service to be 100% online during the pandemic meaning she hasn't had to miss a single week. But like so many small charities, grants have become hugely competitive, often diverted to support covid causes and volunteer fundraising reduced so any contribution we can make will really make a difference to ensuring they can continue to provide the amazing service they do.
