On 23rd November 2019, from 8:00pm and going on until 6:00am the next day at St Bernards School, 1 Langley Road, Slough, SL3 7AF our supporters will be raising the funds for this winter's Slough Winter Night Shelter, with a sponsored sleep out.

Story

On 23 November 2019, I will be sleeping outside overnight to fund the Slough Winter Night Shelter

The shelter is open from December until the end of March

Guests receive breakfast, a warm evening meal and a place to sleep every night

Volunteers work with clients to help find permanent accommodation and employment, a volunteer podiatrist helps to improve foot health and guests are offered new warm coats

The funds we raised in 2018 meant that:

  • 44 people were accommodated across a 3 month period
  • Six of these guests were victims of domestic violence and are now all in safe accommodation
  • Overall, 22 guests are now in settled accommodation

It costs £15 per person, per night to run the shelter.

Even a small donation can have a life-changing impact on a vulnerable person with no other sources of support in their life

If you are able to donate, I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me, even if it is a small amount. We smashed our target last year and we're looking to do it again!

About the charity

We started in the mid 1980's and provide soup runs for the homeless and disadvantaged in London and Slough. In 2014 we started a winter night shelter in Slough. We began a food share program in 2020 collecting from supermarkets and distributing to a number of local Charities every day.
