Story
Team reMARKable have formed to raise as much money, and awareness of the Sue Ryder charity. We sadly lost Mark, a loving husband, father, cherished family member and friend, last year, and witnessed first hand the amazing care and support they provide.
I am looking forward to running the Wokingham Half Marathon on 26th February and raising money for an amazing charity. I didn’t know Mark, but have heard from Wendy what a lovely man he was.
I also have personal connections with Sue Ryder and the brilliant team at the Duchess of Kent Hospice. My wonderful mother-in-law spent her last few days in their care 17 years ago and my good friend Liz, lost her Mum just this Tuesday. She too had been cared for by them for the last few weeks.
All the staff there do the most incredible job of looking after both patients and loved ones with such sensitivity and compassion.
I hope that I can raise as much money as possible so that Sue Ryder and the Duchess of Kent Hospice can continue to help people like us whose treasured family and friends are able to end their well lived lives surrounded by all the love they deserve.
Go teamremarkable!!! :)
