I must be mad!!!! I should have learnt by the last "sore bum" experience of Peru!

All joking aside that was the most amazing life changing experience. So as that challenge in 2005 is now a distant memory I've come back for more! I leave on 15th September to cycle the Great Wall of China!

The route will take us through the the moutainous area northeast of Beijing, passing through remote villages, steep rocky gorges and beautiful valleys. Surrounded by views of the Wall and its watchtowers perched high on the mountain ridges around us, we will conquer the hills of this remote landscape on our bikes!!!!

The challenge will see us cycle over 568km over 7 days. We 've been told that it's physically demanding (!!!), but in return for fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich, ancient culture and history.

The work carried out by the staff and volunteers of Jersey Hospice are truely amazing and I'm sure most have been touched at some stage. The bi-annual Bedell challenges have become a fundamental part of the fundraising calandar raising more than 1 million for Jersey Hospice Care. Your support is really appreciated.
