Story
It all started back in April, when we were watching the London Marathon.
Zoe said, 'I'd like to run for a charity...........'
Kirstie then said, with a huge smile, 'let's raise money for Rosie's Rainbow Fund'.
So, right there and then we searched the web for an event and all signed up for the Women's 5K Challenge on 6th September 2009!
In 2003 our friends Carolyn and Dave Mayling, tragically lost their daughter, Rosie, to a rare and devastating illness, vasculitis, which affects the blood vessels. When Rosie was in hospital, she decided as soon as she was better, she would raise money to help the other sick children. Rosie's Rainbow Fund was created in her memory to help other children undergoing lengthy hospital stays. As the fund has grown, it has also been able to provide valuable support to the family's of terminally ill children and assist with funding for research into treating rare childhood diseases. If you'd like to know more about the Fund click on http://www.rosiesrainbowfund.co.uk/index.php.
