Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running in my first marathon for Beating Bowel Cancer. Nearly three years ago I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and was treated successfully with surgery and chemotherapy. I had been running for about two years before diagnosis and continued to run both during and after my treatment. Running played a big part in my recovery, both physically and psychologically. Every year since diagnosis, I set myself some goals and running the London marathon is next year's goal.

Beating Bowel Cancer is a UK charity which provides support and advice for people with bowel cancer. They work with individuals and government to raise awareness of bowel cancer and to increase the rate of early diagnosis. As a chemotherapy nurse I have been helping people with cancer for many years and know how important early diagnosis and treatment can be.

Please give generously to my page and help me beat my target of £2000.
