Story
I took part in this 100 mile ride very last minute to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Care Centres. In July, Andy, my Brother-in-Law collapsed just after finishing four night shifts for the London Ambulance Service. Scans showed a tumour and he had neurosurgery to remove a large part, but the biopsy showed that it is stage 4 brain cancer. Andy is now having radiology and chemotherapy at Charing Cross Hospital. The staff at the Maggie's Cancer Care Centre in the hospital grounds have been amazing. They are supporting Andy, my sister Zoe and my niece, Emily and Nephew, Josh. They provide a safe, tranquil space, practical advice, a kind ear, group therapy, a psychologist or just a cup of tea. All these services are funded by donations. It would be amazing if I could raise £1000 to help Maggie's to carry on their amazing work, supporting my family and everyone affected by cancer.
