Story

On 18 May 2019, two of our Solicitors, Andriy Buniak and Matthew Riding, and our former Senior Accounts Assistant, Gemma Hoskin, will attempt to conquer the Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours.

The ‘Three Peaks’ are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. The challenge is to climb each of these three peaks - one after the other!

With a total trekking time of around 15 hours, our trio of trekkers will climb around 10,000 feet, covering a distance of around 26 miles. It’s no wonder this charity endurance event is recognised as one of the toughest, most highly regarded trekking challenges in the UK!

In order to complete the challenge within 24 hours, our team will need to climb Ben Nevis in five and a half hours, Scafell Pike in four and a half hours and Snowdon in around four hours – with the Welsh peak being scaled in darkness at around 2am!

Our trekkers will be supported by a team of drivers – our Accounts Manager, Laura Dale, Director, Elizabeth Jennings and Managing
Director, Jonathan Hall. Their task will be to ensure that our trekkers get from Scotland, to the Lake District and then Wales, arriving at each peak in time to complete the three stages of the 24-hour challenge.

All money raised from our Three Peaks Challenge, and other fundraising events leading up to it, will support the fantastic work of The Air Ambulance Service, a registered charity that runs the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and the national Children's Air Ambulance, both based at Coventry Airport, as well as the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance based at East Midlands Airport.

About the charity

We operate the local air ambulances for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, as well as the Children's Air Ambulance across the UK.
