60 mile bike ride - Sunday 9th July 2023

Story

On Sunday 9th July 2023 a team of over 20 guys will be taking on the task of Riding from Manchester to Blackpool.

A Crack Squad of different shapes and sizes and ages ranging from 40 to 81 will be riding their Bikes to the Flyde Coast raising funds for the Christie.

The Riders are Anthony Heaton, Mark Butt, Craig Daniels, Dave Lochrie, Paul Clark, Howard Mellor, Liam Williams, Andrew Ford, James Almond, Dave McCormick, Dominic Goode, Doug Almond, Howard Short, Matt Madeira, Paul Corry, Phil Madeira, Rick Houghton, Simon Bellamy, Wayne Shilito and Max & Chris Syddall.

The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe and treats over 60,000 people every year. Sadly, many people will have had a personal experience of cancer and therefore The Christie. As well as serving a population of 3.2 million people in the North West, more than a quarter of our patients are referred to us from across the UK. The money you raise in this event allows us to go above and beyond what the NHS provides for patients and their families, keeping The Christie as a world leader in cancer care and treatment, and funding our research into how cancer is treated. Join Team Christie at the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride to make a real difference!
