We support young people and adults with mental health issues in Manchester. We're an independent, self-financed charity offering services to those most in need. We promote positive attitudes to mental health to challenge stigma, increase awareness and work for better mental health for all.

Story

Hello and thank you for reading, I will be taking to the path of the Cotswold Way in May to run 100 miles. People have asked me why and I have asked myself the same question!

This challenge reminds me how uncomfortable students can
feel once arriving at university; some students tell us that they find
themselves completely out of their comfort zone. It will also remind me how good it feels to work through that uncomfortable feeling and achieve your goal. Residential Life and the Student Living team work with the charity Manchester Mind who provide mental health support for people across Manchester, including Manchester Met students.

While running, walking and limping along the Cotswold Way, I will think about the fantastic work of this charity and remember that my challenge can benefit our students.

If you would consider supporting this challenge by making a donation to
Manchester Mind it would be great. Thank you for any donation you can afford for Manchester Mind, and I will do my best to make sure I complete this challenge!
