Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Who was Peter Rowe? He wrote books on International Law, he shaped 100's of people's careers, he open law schools, built and developed world class law departments within Liverpool and Lancaster Universities. He advised important people on important things! He shared his expert views to advise The British and The International Red Cross, The House of Lords & House of Commons Defence Committees. He was even called for expert opinion on BBC Breakfast news!
He flew planes, sailed boats, drove Morgans, walked fells and more recently coastal paths. He drank red wine and was happiest surrounded by friends and family.
Most of all, he was the life long soul mate and best friend to our Mum, Anne. He was mine and Tim's incredible Dad. He was the most amazing Grandpa to Zac and Max. He was big brother to Robert and Nick and he was good friends to the hundreds of people warming our hearts with their condolences and offers of help and support.
He was taken from us too soon by a journey of ill health starting with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer 9 months ago. He battled in the most inspiring, positive, strong and good humoured way! He amazed medics with his rapid recovery from the Whipples procedure, pushed positively through months of chemo, for a heart attack to take him suddenly from us this week.
Pancreatic cancer gets only 2% of the cancer research funds. 40 years ago only 3% survived 5 years+ after diagnosis. Today STILL only 3% survive whilst other cancer survival rates have increased to 80%
Dad would be so proud if we could help improve this situation by donations to this great cause in his memory. Your time to read this and donation, no matter how big or small, is massively appreciated by Anne, Tim and I. xx
