We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

I am taking part in the Miss Commonwealth International competition 2008 and would like to utilize the media coverage to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

When you read the statements of grateful parents like this one, you see just how important this hospital is:

“Our boys would not be alive without this hospital. It’s that simple.”*

And you only have to look at their webpage to see the amazing work they do: http://www.ich.ucl.ac.uk/ However, parents and staff report ‘that more room is needed’ to treat the increasing number of patients. To provide the children with the high standard of care they deserve, the hospital is looking for new buildings, and wants to redesign how they work ‘to give a better more flexible, convenient and comfortable service’ for its patients.

The hospitals aims are to:

Provide spacious modern wards and treatment rooms

Carry out more research into the treatment and cure of diseases

Treat 20% more patients

And deliver world class care for all its patients

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a donation or to sponsor me: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
