We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

Thank you for supporting me on my journey to fundraise on behalf of JDRF UK and in running the 2023 London Marathon!

I have a personal connection to Type 1 diabetes. My sister, Hilary, was diagnosed at 4 years old. She's showed incredible resilience and expertise in managing this lifelong diagnosis. I would love to see a world without T1D and fully support the efforts of JDRF in funding world-class medical research to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes.

I'm also running for my dad, Mohsen Sofastaii, who suddenly passed away in 2017 following a bicycle accident. My dad was my coach, friend, and inspiration. He started running marathons in his 50's and we shared a dream that one day we would run the Boston Marathon together. Sadly, that didn't happen, but I was able to run in his memory. And when I run, I know he's there with me.

I really appreciate anything you're able to contribute to this cause and my quest to run all six World Marathon majors in my dad's memory! Three down -- three more to go!
