Hello, and welcome to our JustGiving page! We're three friends passionate about making a difference in the world. That's why we've decided to run a half marathon to raise money for the people of North Korea. As you may know, North Korea is one of the world's most isolated and impoverished countries. The education that many North Korean people receive growing up leaves them unable to participate in the job market once they have escaped. Once they arrive in their new home, they often become trapped in low-paid work and the possibility of finding the fees, or the time, to study and better their situation, is slim or non-existent. This means many North Korean people manage to escape a life of oppression in North Korea, only to find themselves achieving far below their potential and remaining trapped in a cycle of subsistence. We aim to raise £500, which will go directly to a reputable charity providing aid to North Korean refugees in the UK. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a massive difference in the lives of those struggling. We've been training hard for this half marathon and are excited to take on this challenge for such an important cause. With your support, we can make a real difference in the world.
