Story

This is my story ❤️

It has been almost 8 years that I left my abusive marriage with my 3 babies aged at the time 9 months(twins )and my 3 years old….yet to this day and for the past 8 years I have been trying to recover from the trauma of what I went through. Walking away is only the first step towards healing and restarting to ‘live again’. Coercive control  and post separation abuse continued to this day…but with the support I received from Nour I was able to navigate life again and rebuild my strength.

Nour has supported me and my family  from the very moment I contacted them…many times I thought I would lose my mind and lose my children because of the immense distress the father of my children caused me. The Counselling I received from Nour and the legal advice I benefited from helped me believe that I would survive and heal a little more every day.

Healing is a long journey and the Trauma Counselling that Nour provides is absolutely life changing. Please donate generously and help survivors of abuse heal and rebuild their lives .

Domestic Abuse does not discriminate. It affects, women, men, children and families. This Ramadan our campaign is focusing on all those who are affected by abuse and the detrimental affects of abuse. Two women a week are killed by a current or former partner in England and Wales alone. Some cant take it anymore, and take the heartbreaking decision to end their own life. Your support can save lives.Every year there are children across the UK who live with the terror of domestic abuse. Who witness horrific acts of violence or aggression, and grow up feeling deeply afraid and unsafe. Some children fear going to school because they are too scared to leave the abused parent alone with the abuser. Some children face abuse themselves. No child should ever have to feel so afraid and unsafe. Through your generous support we can provide critical services to families in need.Social norms force men into a position of maintaining the appearance of a tough and unbreakable attitude.
