Welcome to the Dundee climbs Kilimanjaro campaign! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In the summer of 2023 I will be taking part in team a trek to the top of mount Kilimanjaro located in Tanzania, which is the tallest free standing mountain in the world. This climb is in aid of the menengitis research Foundation, who are launching the words first ever global task force to defeat menengitis by 2030. Menengitis is a GLOBAL problem and although it is preventable in most cases it affects over 5 MILLION people each year and menengitis and new born sepsis are responsible for more deaths of children under 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined. The foundation can only do this with OUR help which will contribute to being able to bring together the expertise, experience, resources and government action needed to finally defeat this disease. You can be a part of helping their mission by supporting and donating to this just giving page for my charity trek, any donations is greatly appreciated and helps contribute to my £4000 donation goal!

Thank you all for your generosity

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
