Story

Yes - it's two events for the price of one donation!  A  "Buy One, Get One Free" for charity.   I very much appreciate you visiting my page and your support.  The two events are a sort of spread out triathalon, without the swim; or the transition; or the baby oil.  In other words a triathalon without the fun bits.

Firstly to the track at Silverstone.  The smell of oil, the roar of a V12, and hoards of pretty, glamorous girls ... er actually no - smelly running shoes, the groan of over exertion and the ladies from St Johns! I've always wanted to go round Silverstone, but didn't really plan to do it under my own steam in a half marathon! At least all the time I've spent trying to beat the kids on XBox Forza means I know my way round the circuit!  So, on the 11th March I'll be joining a few thousand others to run 21k round the famous circuit.  Hopefully there won't be too many cars whizzing round.

But that's not all.  I realise that there are many calls on people's money right now so I'm entering not one but two events.  On May 5th I will be taking part in a day trip to the sea side with a bunch of friends from the village.   Living, as we do, as far from the sea as you can get in England, what other way would a bunch of deluded middle aged men get to the sea side than by bike! The Century Cycle Challenge (www.centurycyclechallenge.co.uk) covers 160 kilometers, starting from the beautiful surroundings of Neville Holt (appropriately owned by CPW founder David Ross) round to the wind-swept coast at Brancaster in Norfolk.  You can visit other friends pages through the team link below.

I'd be very grateful for any level of support you can offer. The money will be well used by TCT to provide help for teenagers with cancer - an age group who often fall between the young and old in terms of finding hospital facilities focussed on their particular needs.

I'm looking forward to taking part in both these events, and would like to thank you for your support. It really will make a difference.
