Story

My name is Malcolm Padwick I am a Consultant Gynaecologist at the West Herts hospital NHS trust. I have an interest in Gynaecological oncological surgery and  minimal access surgery.

I an honorary secretary to the Ectopic Foundation a charity which has no direct central funding but relies solely on donations from indivudals and organisations.   The funding is required to host the website which includes 15 frequently asked questions about ectopic pregnancy and these are available in over 30 different languages. We provide a 24 hour manned helpline (not an answer phone marchine) which is based in the United Kingdom and has been and has been well received by patients.

I am presently in training and will be running the Blenheim Palace Triathlon on the 9th of June to raise funds for the foundation. All monies will be spent on provision of services to patients and professionals on issues around ectopic pregnancy.

I do hope that you will sponser me so please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

The Ectopic Pregancy Foundation (EPF) is a charity organisation set up by a group of National Health Service (NHS) doctors to help give advice about this distressing condition that affects up to 1 in 100 pregnancies. We provide advice for both the medical profession and the general public, in the form of the website and a 24 hour telephone advice line. The EPF needs funds to support its activity and ambitions. Funding is required for hosting the website, providing the 24 hour patient helpline, mailshots to A&E departments, equipment to train gynaecologists in managing ectopic pregnancies and administrative support to run the organisation. All the trustees, faculty and international resident advisors are honorary and receive no financial reward and give their time freely. We do not have any governmental support. Mr Laurie Montgomery Irvine, founder and honory chief executive.
