Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year, the Father of a close friend died from Alzheimers, following a rapid and very distressing period when he deteriorated from an active sportsman, to someone who was physically disabled and unable to communicate.

Steve, my friend, myself, my cousin and another friend are all taking part in the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge, organised by Alzheimer's Society, starting on 8th July this year. The Challenge involves cycling 172 miles from Workington in Cumbria to Whitby in Yorkshire, -taking in some of the steepest ascents in the Lake District and the Yorshire Dales!

I am paying all my own expenses, so every penny I raise will benefit Alzheimer's Society direct, and Just Giving will deal with Gift Aid.

I have not ridden my bike for over two years, so the Coast to Coast Challenge, should live up to it's name!

I'm hoping to raise over £1,000, so please give generously and make my effort and pain worthwhile!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
