1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

Hi everyone,

On 31st July I will be riding Prudential Ride London, trying to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK

Around 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their life and although survival rates are high, 10,000 men annually still die from this disease. Sadly in September 2015, my father was one of this number.

He was a keen cyclist so it seems entirely appropriate to tackle Ride London this year in an effort to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. It will be especially poignant as I use his old bike (well, his frame at least!).

The charity supports so many affected by prostate cancer, raises awareness of how to make an early diagnosis and are at the forefront researching how to further reducing mortality rates.

If anyone is able to spare a few pennies for this worthy cause I would be eternally grateful.

Thank you.

Malcolm.
