Story

Help me commemorate and celebrate the stories of those who have taken to the skies in this majestic V-Bomber. From its cold war beginnings 70 years ago to its final service during the Falklands. Your sponsorship will enable the Royal Air Force Museum, a registered Charity, to continue to share the stories of the pilots and crews. The Royal Air Force has shaped our nation. It has influenced how we live our lives today through its impact on world events, society and technology. With your support, they will be able to share the RAF Story, past, present and future, using the stories of its people and their collections in order to engage, inspire and encourage learning.

This will be my third event and this year my wife and daughter, who is 6, will also be taking part so we are aiming to raise as much money as possible to help preserve the historical aircraft held within these museums. My wife has decided to join this year as her favourite aircraft is the Vulcan bomber. My daughter wanted to do it as she like my medals from previous challenges and wanted one of her own.

My wife and daughter are both walking 100km each whilst I will be walking/cycling 500km.
