Story
No doubt you are all aware of the situation that has unfolded in Syria since 2011. The UN announced that the number of people who have fled the conflict in Syria now stands at 1 million. Antonio Guterres, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, has warned that 'Syria is spiraling towards' full-scale disaster'.
Conditions are desperate. Flour is the staple diet of most Syrians. Human Appeal are involved in the distribution of flour as many bakeries have been bombed. Since 2012, they have delivered 4200 tonnes of flour to Syria, feeding up to 10 million people and they aim to deliver 1000 tonnes every month going forward.
We have launched an emergency campaign with Human Appeal International.
