Story
If you are on this page, then thank you very much...
As most of you may know, in October I lost my mum to an awful and very rare disease called Multiple System Atrophy, or MSA. And this is why I am asking for your help...
Back in April of last year I applied to run the London Marathon and knew that if my application was successful, I would find out in October. I was unsuccessful in the ballot, but today, 3 months before the race itself, the Sarah Matheson Trust for Multiple System Atrophy phoned me up and offered me the opportunity to run the marathon in aid of their charity.
How could I say no?
Yes, I know I like the odd vodka and lemonade here and there...
And yes, I know I am partial to a good Chinese takeaway...
And yes, I am VERY aware that most people start training at least 7 months in advance...
But if it means raising money for a good cause and maybe in the future preventing somebody else from going through what myself, family and friends have all been through recently, then I am willing to give up everything, work my bum off and raise every penny that I can!
Enough of the mush.
Help a brother out.
Please.
Thanks.
