Story
Hi! I’m Maizie, I’m 12 and I have been growing my hair for 5 years. Ever since I was little I have wanted to donate hair to charity because I couldn’t think what it would be like to be self-conscious of how you look just because you don’t have hair and I want to help people who may have been affected by cancer regain confidence in themselves, and to not feel out of place, and like they are always the centre of attention because of something they can’t control. Help me to help other people out. I am also aiming to raise the £550 needed to turn my hair into a wig for a child who has lost their hair. It may seem like a lot, but each £1 and donation matters.
Thank you, Maizie :)
When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever.
