Story
Asalamulaikum everyone I hope you are well and the first day of Ramadan has been a breeze. I would like you all to try and contribute to this charity as it holds a special place not only in my heart but for others too. My dear friends mother passed away last year and I’ve been meaning to do something heartfelt that would comfort her and help her through this hard time and I’ve been thinking of fundraising money for a charity because as we all know when a person returns back to their Lord one way to still give them good deeds is to give to charity (Sunan Ibn Majah 241). Even though I did not know her mother personally I still feel as if I have a duty as a sister in Islam to aid my friend in this time. I hope all of you can sympathise and share this fundraiser with good intentions. The most beautiful thing about this is that you will have your rewards multiplied by giving charity during the month of Ramadan. Every contribution helps, even if you give £1 in shaa Allah!
May Allah reward you all and accept the charity on her behalf in the Akhira and grant her the highest rank in Jannah for it and may He grant you shade on the day of judgment for every contribution of charity ameen.
Muslim Hands partners are on the ground, building brick houses in Idlib, in the safe zone controlled by the Turkish government. They have over 100 acres of land and, with the help of various organisations, they are planning to build 3,000 homes in total. These families fled violence and conflict, leaving everything behind to survive. They are living in makeshift shelters, completely exposed to the bitter wind and icy rain, vulnerable to the flooding and landslides of winter..
