Throughout my childhood, my Dad suffered with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) however, it never really affected him until someone knocked him off his bicyle on the way to work one morning. This caused the disease to "kick in" and so was no longer dormant. My dad slowly lost the ability to walk properly and after a while, relied on a wheelchair to move around (with me stood on the back of it going downhill!) My dad relapsed and got worse, eventually staying at the Old Lodge care home in Etwall, a lovely place with absolutley amazing staff who helped my mum with caring for my dad :) Unfortunately I lost both parents around 3 years ago and have not yet done anything in their memory and I thought that this event would be the ultimate challenge and a great way to raise money for such a worthwhile charity, which will one day, find a cure for this disease.

I hope to raise at least £300 so get emptying your pockets!
