On Sunday 11th September 2022, I will be hiking a half marathon along the Dorset Coast to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support with some friends from work. 

This cause has become closer to home in the last few months, after being diagnosed in September last year with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I decided that in 2022 I wanted to set myself a challenge and raise money for Macmillan, a charity that has helped me through a personally challenging time, and to create my own positive story. Cancer has such an effect on not only the patients but also their families and loved ones and Macmillian does fantastic work to support millions of people.  Around 3 million people live with cancer in the UK today, and over 360,000 more get diagnosed every year. Right now, millions of people with cancer are counting on Macmillan for physical, financial, and emotional support.
