Hi everyone, I am Maisie Eve Beers and am doing a skydive on the 15th May in memory of my twin sister Eve who would be turning 21 years old this year. 

I am raising funds for Zephyr’s, the specialist bereavement support centre situated on the grounds of the Nottingham City Hospital. Zephyr's provides support for parents and families who have experienced the death of a baby or child of any age. To run Zephyr's costs about £30,000 a year and the centre relies entirely on donations and fundraising.

Eve and I arrived into the world 10 weeks early and sadly Eve was stillborn. As you can imagine this was a very devastating time for my Mum, Vanessa and Dad, David.

Other than family and friends, Mum said there wasn’t a great deal of support out there for bereaved families at that time. Mum always said she wanted to get involved with supporting families at their most heartbreaking and vulnerable time. 

I am so proud of my Mum, she’s been volunteering at Zephyr’s for over 3 years now. I want to raise as much as I can so my Mum, all the volunteers and staff can continue providing the much needed support and making resources available to families in a caring and loving environment. 

Please dig deep a little can make a big difference.
