Story

On 20th August 2022 I lost my dearest friend Joanne to Cancer. For three long years she fought the good fight with dignity & grace, but unfortunately she lost her battle. She was such a vibrant, fun loving, hard working person. Her family was everything her world her life. She never let her illness dominate one moment. She touched the lifes of all who knew her & left many fond memories. So sleep easy my friend until we meet again xx

So myself & Una is Joining Friends of the Cancer Centre on Saturday 10th September 2022 as we climb 850m up Northern Irelands highest peak, Slieve Donard, to raise funds to support local families affected by cancer. It is set to be a fantastic day and we really hope lots of people sign-up and join us as we take on the climb to the summit, where on a clear day you can see as far as the Isle of Man and Scotland. This will be a great personal challenge and it will give people a real sense of achievement when they reach the top of Slieve Donard. Each step will raise money which will help support thousands of people across Northern Ireland who have been affected by cancer.
