السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
With Ramadhan nearly upon us, a month of patience, blessings and goodwill, let’s try to show compassion and generosity by giving charity. It is a chance for true, meaningful change. As Allah SWT tests our patience and obedience, He also gives us blessed opportunities to transform our worship and charity.
I have been given the opportunity and InShaAllah next year I will be going abroad to help the vulnerable, but to do that I need your help.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The likeness of believers in regard to mutual love, mercy, and kindness is that of one body; when any part aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” (Sahih Muslim)
While so much around us feels uncertain, we can feel safe in the promise of Allah, the Most Generous, that giving charity can only INCREASE our wealth.
Do we still feel the anguish of countless families in Gaza imprisoned by siege, the hunger of a child in Rohingya who has nothing to eat tonight, or the screams of a mother who lost her child amid bullets and bombs in Yemen today?
£70 will provide a family-of-six with a nutritious food parcel to last the whole month of Ramadan.
One donation of £70 can make a difference to a family this Ramadan in Bangladesh (Rohingya Refugee Camp), Iraq, Pakistan, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
£8 will provide a hot iftar to a fasting person at Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem.
£6 will provide a vulnerable person in Pakistan or Gaza with a nutritious hot iftar meal.
We tailor every food parcel to the needs in the local community, and they’re packed with an average of 62kg of nutritious food. Each parcel contains several kilograms of staples, such as sugar, rice, and flour, as well as local preferences, such as chickpeas, lentils, tea, milk powder or pasta. We only distribute food parcels in countries where we have a vast network and years of experience – this helps your donation to go further by getting the best prices and quality of food, meaning more of your donation goes directly to those who need it most.
Let’s make this month count. Let’s change Ramadan for the most vulnerable, who’ve endured unimaginable hardship. Put your donation in capable, experienced hands, and help us to provide food parcels and ease their hardships.
