Fundraising for Child.org International
Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am a first year medic at Cardiff University. This summer I will be travelling with the Kenyan Orphan Project (KOP). The monies raised by the KOP Cardiff student group will fund two meals per day for all 640 pupils at Kunya Primary School. Any further funds raised will go towards improving sanitation facilities for the whole school, water harvesting and management systems. However, with your help, I need to raise and donate £750 before my departure. Every penny of this will go directly to the Kenyan Orphan Project and those they support. I will be self-funding the trip including return flights to Kenya, food and accomodation whilst out there for 2 weeks. It’s a fantastic cause, and a chance to really make a difference to those living in poverty in Africa! In 2007 KOP initiated a feeding programme within Kunya Primary School. This project provides children with two meals a day, enabling them to focus on learning and not their empty bellies! Having run successfully for two years, we are now seeing steady improvements to levels of attendance, enrolment and academic achievement from the children. The essence of KOP is a great cause and any donations, no matter how small or LARGE will contribute. Even in this tough economic climate, please try and give generously. So please sponsor me. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Thanks!!
