Two years ago we spent five weeks traveling across Nepal, making a film called Mahout - The Great Elephant Walk. The warmth and generosity of the Nepali people led us to make many friends along the way, and thankfully most of them escaped the earthquake with their lives, but some did not. We have organised this screening to help those who have been left behind, specifically in a village we visited called Langtang which was wiped-out by a huge avalanche of rocks and ice, killing over 200 people. Thanks to our sponsors and Community Action Nepal, all money raised will go directly to those who have lost their families, homes and livelihoods in the Langtang valley.
SCREENING:
The film will be screened at the wonderful Stockport Plaza, at 19.30 on Friday the 10th July.
TICKETS:
We request a minimum donation £10 / ticket. This money will go directly to charity. Please bring proof of your donation as a print out or on your phone to show staff on entry.
*IMPORTANT*: please state the number of tickets you would like to reserve for your donation in the message field. DO NOT include gift aid for tickets. We can only claim gift aid on donations that are not in exchange for tickets.
Community Action Nepal will use the money raised from this screening to take aid directly to the people of Langtang.
Thank you so much for your support.
