Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page! To celebrate what we all hope will be a relatively normal Christmas I have started my celebrations early and dug out my favourite Christmas elf hat. Which lead to me deciding on this somewhat silly idea :
The challenge (if we can call it that!)
To wear my elf hat from now (I started 2 Nov. promise!) until Christmas and if I raise my target goal, to come into work in a full blown Elf outfit for Christmas jumper day!
And I promise make-up and Christmas bells will definitely be involved - the sillier the better as far as I'm concerned!
The charity :
Any money I raise will go to Refuge, the UK's largest charity supporting women and children escaping domestic abuse. 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime and 5 women a week lose their lives. On any given day, Refuge support over 7,000 women and children to rebuild their lives. Every pound I raise will really make a difference so I hope you will join me in supporting Refuge to continue the fight to end domestic abuse.
£25 pays for a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for a survivor and their children
£50 pays for a child with a programme of activities during school holidays, including trips to the zoo, the aquarium and outdoor
activity centres
£185 could help fund the running of Refuge's National Domestic Abuse Helpline for an hour, providing life-saving information to survivors who wish to flee
£500 could run one of our refuges for a full day
