As some of you may know, my mother is unfortunately suffering from MND (Progressive Bulbar Palsy). Last September I raised money for MND Scotland. Many thanks to those who gave generously helping me to raise £750 (I cycled 55 miles on that occasion). This time around I will be raising money for the Accord Hospice. This is the hospice that has been providing considerable help for my mum and sister as my mums disease progresses.
I've decided to up the ante with this one and I am going to (attempt) to cycle 100 miles in a day. Of course, I'm not going to be doing this on a nice flat road, ohhhh no, I'll be cycling in the Trossachs! For those who know the area I will be riding up Crow Road and the Dukes Pass.
The Trossachs Ton is a ride specifically aiming to raise money for Action Medical Research. However, I hope to raise money for AMR and for my mums hospice at the same time. So dual sponsorship is acceptable.. ;-)
Please give what you can. I would really like to say thank you to those who are helping my family through a difficult time.
P.S. I have a go faster bike now! :-)
Now the blurb...
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Accord Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
